I’m feeling excited.

We had the art fair on Saturday. It was a brilliant day. The weather was great. A bit hot but nothing like usual. Loads of people came out, and a few came back to see me which was kind of nice.

I made $2,000 which is the best I’ve made yet.

And that’s with the afternoon being really slow with no sales after 4 pm I’d say.

I’ve just added up what I’ve sold since my last donation to Care, and that’s another $1,300,

I can send off $3,000!

I can hardly stand it

This time I was selling for Save the Children and the Ebola Orphans.

E was helping me and said I couldn’t tell anyone that though because the Ebola word is not nice.

Personally I think people need to know these things and it’s important to me, but for E’s sake I didn’t really go there on Saturday but every so often couldn’t help mentioning it.

Sorry E.

My booth looked better than normal. I’d fitted the cloth and put all of the jewelry in boxes. I actually think this helped with selling it. Everything looked cleaner and easier to take in. Usually it’s a bit all over the place.

E took a photo.

It was really nice to see a noticeable difference as the table started to clear.

So that’s my news.

This week I’ve the dentist, the doctors, and all that good stuff, but I think I’m going to have a good sort out and get myself organized.

Maybe I’ll read a book.

I’ve been painting

Or rather, oil pastel-ing.

I think this is my favourite medium. The colours are so rich and meaty.

I find it hard to get back into jewelry after an art show. It’s like I’m all jeweled out.

I did fairly well at the festival. I made a thousand dollars, which, with what I already have, brings me to fifteen hundred.

I think this time the money is going to the Water for India thing, and Syria again.

Although I’m going to check out the Indian charity a little more first. I don’t usually give to the smaller charities as they aren’t so well known.

I don’t know, sometimes I get disheartened. It all seems so little for so much, but I can’t worry about it too much otherwise my brain will explode.

And that might hurt a bit.

So, I will leave you with a picture of my son in his halloween costume.

If you see him, please take him directly to the nearest psych ward.

He needs all the help he can get.

This morning I made my $10,000 goal.

Thank you to everyone that bought jewelry from Cold Feet Studio.

I really appreciate it.

“We make a living by what we get, but we make a life by what we give.” Winston Churchill.

It took me a while, but,

I finally decided where to send my money.

I sold a bracelet at the beginning of the week and it geed me up to make a decision. It was beginning to niggle me. I know my money doesn’t make that much of a difference, but, I was beginning to feel bad about all the people with no food, living in horrible conditions, and, with me just taking my time.

I usually try to send the money I make to programmes that help people sustain themselves, but, as I was browsing around I came across this picture.

Save the Children – orphan care.

I’m not going to say anymore except that this is where the money I made selling my jewelry went to this month.

Look at him.

O.K. don’t, because I might have to cry now…

So, thank you to everyone who bought a piece of jewelry from me, either at the art festival or through Etsy. I really appreciate it.

$9,000 now. Only one more thousand to reach my Wanna Do. Guess then I’ll have to change my goal.

Onwards and upwards people :)

And, in case you thought I wasn’t paying attention, no,

I didn’t forget the quilt ;)

One day I might try to sell these as well.

What do you think?
